Hello! I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Political Science at Portland State University. Prior to coming to Portland, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Commerce and Diplomacy at UC San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University in 2022.
My primary field of research is international political economy, with a particular focus on global trade governance. I explore patterns of trade tensions and conflicts between countries, their governments' varied responses -- whether they seek resolution or choose escalation -- and the dispute settlement institutions they utilize. By investigating governments’ strategies and choices in managing trade conflicts, I aim to understand their commitment to economic cooperation.
